My Health Journey
My journey to this holistic practice began much like many other people's paths do, running on fumes, feeling disillusioned with the conventional Western medical approach, and yearning for a way of living that was more deeply connected to the natural world around me.
Over the years, my senses and palate gradually expanded as I was introduced to the vibrant world of farm-to-table ingredients and the artful methods of preparation that accompany them. However, there remained a persistent missing link between what I understood as 'health food' and how I truly felt within my body.
It seemed there was a quick fix for everything, and yet this rapidly absorbed information only penetrated skin deep before the cycle of symptoms would begin anew, leaving me searching for a more sustainable and integrated solution.
Following years of battling commonized symptoms that never quite felt so common—such as chronic digestive issues, the frustrating swings on the pendulum of energy, and feeling unbalanced and lost in the seemingly endless realm of modern health practices—I realized that the pathway to genuine wellbeing existed deep within me.
From the sacred voice of intuition that lives within us all, I felt an undeniable pull that whispered to me there was a way to heal that was intrinsically aligned with body, mind, and spirit. What truly led me to seek healing through food was a profound and deep calling to understand the intricate layers of our wellbeing and true nature. I embarked on a journey of returning to the root of the root, delving into the ancient systems of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda, integrated into a modern holistic context. Through the transformative process of peeling back the layers of my own health, I have found my way to a place of centered awareness with the anchored guidance of a daily practice that includes Hatha Yoga, Self-Inquiry Meditation, and a dedicated commitment to extend this empowering knowledge to others.
Now, I can clearly sense and appreciate the beauty that exists in the darkness (yin) as well as the brilliance of light (yang). How can we trace the origins of disharmony with both gratitude and grace, coming to fully recognize the innate gifts that lie within our innermost being? This inquiry is our collective journey, and it continues to unfold in magnificent and divine form.
With Love and Reverence,
